Created by the NHS for the NHS, Care Without Carbon delivers sustainable healthcare. Its Dare to Care campaign helps empower and motivate staff to take action for a better working life and a greener NHS. I went to various hospitals to photograph people and their 'Dares' for the NHS marketing campaign. Based around seven steps, it is designed to help NHS organisations cut carbon, save money and support staff wellbeing. As a photographer, when working for the NHS it has never failed to impress me how genuinely passionate the staff are about their jobs and patients, it fills me pride. Because of how demanding the job is you do not have long to capture the photography: in situ, correct background, no patient data, engaging imagery. So I used a wide angled lens 16-35mm f2.8 and on camera Speedlight flash with a lightbender.
