Property Photography
Third Circle Recordings
I photographed the colourful delight that is James Gasson's refurbed Third Circle Recordings, a music recording/rehearsal studio in Brighton. The property photography took 4hrs+ to capture the various lighting set ups and the composites.
The wide shots were photographed with a 16mm at f8 400 ISO, with various shutter speeds to accommodate the practical tungsten bulbs that were there. The remit was designed mostly around the colourful LED's which he had painstakingly built into the rehearsal room ceiling. I took many versions of the colours and plated my Speedlite flash around the room, bounced off the ceiling. After shooting one base photo with no flashes, to capture the ceiling - I composited these together.
The close ups were shot 16mm f2.8 with one Speedlight camera mounted.
